Casa Clubs Newsletters – December 2020

Dear Parents & Carers,

We thought we would wrap up the end of the year with a quick newsletter for you all to read.

Our half termly theme last half term was Jurassic world. We got the opportunity to explore Dinosaurs in all of their glory! As you can see some of our children made some great pasta dinosaurs!

The Children and team members at Casa Clubs also had amazing Monster balls at each after school club. A great time was had by all. We played party games, had prizes, party food and a goody bag! In addition we also had the pleasure of having some sparklers at our after school clubs this year It really was a joy to do with the children.

Our new half termly theme this half term is Lost in Space and winter wonderland. We have looked at Aliens, planets and the atmosphere with experiments and making UFOS. As we approach December we have made some amazing Snow Globes, cookies and Baubles for our trees! Everything Christmas is in full swing!

This week each after school club will have their Christmas parties where we will have party music, party food, games and prizes. There is also a Christmas goody bag to take home. If you child has already attending one of the parties, we hope they have enjoyed it as much as our staff have.

Covid-19 information

As you know with Covid-19, we are still taking the necessary precautions at every club. Increased hygiene, hand washing and cleaning routines, bubbling our children and always keeping up to date with the latest guidelines. This will always be a priority to keep our children safe. As it stands this does mean it can change the way we set up or the access to toys. We will always make sure that the children are having a good time and lots of Fun! If your child or yourself has any Cobid-19 Symptoms, please do not send your child to club and follow the local guidance.

Also for contact tracing reasons if your child attends one of our term clubs and tests positive with Covid-19 over the 21st-23rd December, please do make us aware. This is because we may have to ask Staff to Isolate or other children. We really appreciate your support to keep everyone safe.

General Information and Reminders

Account information

Please log in to your Casa Clubs account online and review your information. Please ensure your password is set, any contact information is up to date and all information is correct. If you have any problems updating your information, you can call the head office during office hours on 01252 727000, office hours are Monday to Friday 9.30-2.30am.

Medication & Dietary Needs

If your child has any medical, dietary or additional needs it is really important that you fill in the information on your online account. This will give us information on specific requirements for the care of your child. It will involve giving us some background and instructions on how we can further care for your child while they are with us.

If your child does take medication or an epi pen, it is important that we have a copy of this medication onsite at all times for your child. Please make sure that your child’s medication is given to the team leader onsite, in a clear plastic bag with your child’s name on it. You will also need to fill in a medication request form, giving us authority to administer this at clubs if required. This can be requested from your team leader or downloaded from the website under after school clubs. If your child does have any dietary needs we do cater for this for breakfast and snack times, again we just ask that you make us aware of this on your booking with as much information as possible.

Contracts and Ad-hoc Sessions

At Casa clubs we offer two different types of sessions:

Contract sessions are for parents who require the same day each week, each month. This is invoiced a month in advance and payable a month in advance. You only receive one invoice per month, It is also cheaper for you in regards to session prices – however in order to cancel a contract, reduce or cancel a day we requires a month’s written notice in order to do this for you. You can do this via [email protected]

Ad-hoc sessions are designed as one off requirements or emergency childcare. You can book these sessions online at . We do have specific terms and condition’s surrounding ad-hoc sessions. If you book the same session twice in a row for two weeks this would be deemed as needing regular care. The head office would then contact you to discuss your childcare arrangements.

If you need any help with your bookings or need to discuss your requirements, please call and speak with someone in the head office. We will be more than happy to help you.

Extra-Curricular Clubs

If your child is attending clubs before the come to Casa Clubs, for example football, choir or dodgeball, please let your team leader know which club, on what day and what time it finishes so we can make a note of this. Again if clubs are cancelled for any reason, please let us know.

Non Attendance

If your child is not coming to breakfast or after school club it is vital that you make us aware of this. You can do so in many ways including calling or emailing the head office or calling or texting your club directly. Each club has its own phone which will be on during session times at breakfast club and after school club. The direct number to clubs should only be used to let the club know of any children not coming in, emergencies or if you are running late for collection. Please do phone the club to let them know. If your child has suspected Covid-19 and /or you have had to have a test. Please can you inform us as soon as possible so that we are aware and can implement any procedures necessary.
